What is love?
It’s bitter cold outside
And I’ve been thinking
Over the concept of the universe,
How it works, and
Why it even matters.
Queen of Manifestation is a title I often receive
Because I usually manage to find
Whatever I desire.
Captain Obvious is another of my misnomers
Because I say what is perfectly clear to me
And often to others
But occasionally forgotten despite its lack of obscurity.
I seek for Truth
I seek for Purpose
I seek for Enlightenment
All while striving to live my life fully
In every moment.
I danced with Daniel yesterday
In the middle of the living room
A sort of bastard version of bad salsa
We laughed a lot
And I felt love.
That everyday version of love
that clings to life around all its edges
And permeates all the mundanities.
Do I want Truth, Purpose and Enlightenment?
Or do I just want Love?
It’s all a matter of how I value myself and my life
What if Love were the goal?
How would we measure it?
How would we know when we acheived the goal?
And would it matter what the goal was once we got there?
Truth, Purpose and Enlightenment would all seem
To be obvious results of living in Love
At least it’s obvious to me
Why not choose Love?
