Walkabout 2002 – Looking in the Right Places

I am finally kicking this cold. And things are falling into place again, although in really odd ways.

First, my car. You read about that. Well, there’s a new wrinkle. I took it to the glass place to get the windshield replaced because of a huge crack. When it came out, I couldn’t open the driver’s side door. So I had to take it to the body shop across the way. They pulled the fender out (which was what the door was catching on) and ordered some touch-up paint. All paid for by the glass place.

When they do the touch-up to the door, they’re going to give me the rest of the bottle to finally do the touch up on the rest of the car. Five years ago when I bought the car, I was supposed to get a bottle of touch up paint to go with it. I guess I finally got it.

Second, I wanted my tooth fixed, but a dentist in NC had said it would take $750 to cap it, so I figured I had to wait. Well, Sunday the filling fell out of it and there was very little tooth left. Monday, it started to hurt a little. So I broke down and went to the dentist. he put in a large filling for $220. He even let me pay in installments (good thing since I don’t have $220). He says I’ll need to cap it eventually, but if I’m careful I should be OK for now. So my tooth is fixed.

And thirdly, Tony has offered to have me work for him for a few days while he is out of town in Florida, so I’ll get some more cash there. A woman called me out of the blue to take advanced Reiki, so that’s another $350. Plus, I’m starting the New hope contract this week which will eventually net me another $420. I’m missing out on other jobs with the temp service because of the New Hope commitment, so I can only assume that this is what is meant to be and that the cash I need will show up elsewhere. It seems to be doing so already.

So things are starting to come together. I did a fairy card reading for myself last night and it said the same thing. It also seemed to indicate that my path was becoming clear as well, although I’m still a little fuzzy on that one. The possible jobs I interviewed for aren’t calling me back. I had many readings saying I was looking in the wrong places. Perhaps that’s why. I don’t know.

I’m getting a lot accomplished though. I’ll just keep on trucking and see what shows up I guess. It feels a little weird though.
