Well, things progress apace. Had the crazy day yesterday with running from Lowell to Rhode Island at Gumby’s place for an hour and a half (we had a late start) to Ken and Tra’s in Medfield for a 10-minute stop before heading to Drum and Dance in Cambridge and then back to Lowell. Lots of driving, but I got to introduce Daniel to most of my friends all in one day. He humored me. Yet another reason to appreciate this man. I ran out to get food while Daniel set up for Drum and Dance and on the way I ran into Greg who was heading in. We grabbed the food together and hung out. It was good to see him again. I think I managed to talk him into the New Year’s party; we’ll see in a week or so.
I officially finished up my walkabout at Drum and Dance. I couldn’t think of a better place to do it than there on Yule. Leave behind the old life and journey and start fresh with the New Year. And what a great start it’s been. I came home to friends who have genuinely missed me (yes, i was a little surprised, I’m working on it), great parties, and a terrific man who announced to the Drum and Dance circle that I go to 11. (A quote from Spinal Tap for you heathens who might not recognize it.) 😉 My new life is looking very good. I’ll keep you updated.
