It seems that I may not be able to go to Detroit after all. I have gotten no response from Jessie’s friend on my impending stay (scheduled for tomorrow), so I guess I’ll be staying another night here at Mom’s. Then go straight on to Akron. Good thing I thought ahead and planned something close to Detroit as a staying place for Wednesday. Looks like a roughly 9-hour drive for Wednesday and a 10.5-hour drive for Thursday and then I’m done driving for a while. Yay! Ruby (my car) will appreciate the break. Need to get an oil change before I leave. I’m almost 1000 miles over, but I didn’t have the cash to do it before.
I’m trying to arrange with Ludwig and Tony to meet me in Worcester for dinner on Thursday evening since Daniel won’t be home until after 8pm. Looks like it is a go there. Confirmed plans with Ken and Tra for dinner on the 30th. And it looks like there may be a Naked New Year’s Eve party at Castle Dragonfly. Body paints and hors d’oeuvres, what could be better?
