Not much to report today. Waiting for Chris to make contact with Gnome. Hanging out with friends and drumming (very much fun). I also managed to keep a bass beat going for about half an hour. That was a first for me and VERY cool. I didn’t do any drumming at SPiRaL because when I’m in a large group, I always manage to screw up the beat somehow. So I was told that singing to the drums was cool. I started off doing that here and had a great time, but as things wound down, I got adventurous. Perhaps someday soon I’ll have a good excuse to buy my own drum. (I’ve always wanted one, but couldn’t justify the expense with my lack of playing skills.)
(Update 2013: I’ve told people for years that I never really wanted to learn how to drum. This proves it. All I wanted was to be able to justify owning a drum. Really. That’s what it was.)
I’m supposed to be working with Lisa this morning, but no call from her so far. Must get out of the house today. Got a little cabin fever. Drum circle, toning workshop, and prayer for peace tomorrow starting at 1pm. Should be fun!
