Walkabout 2002 – Chipped tooth

Well, it looks like the donation from Caroline came none too soon. I have managed to somehow chip off a portion of my tooth. This means an unexpected trip to the dentist. Sigh. Not really what I had wanted to spend the cash on. (I was thinking gas and food to fuel the walkabout – oh well, spirit had other ideas). I really shouldn’t get so down about this until I meet Melissa’s dentist. Who knows? Perhaps he’ll have a soft spot and do it for free. Or for a reduced rate or something. I’ll see what the universe has planned for me.

To make things more interesting, Melissa is having her bathroom regrouted, so there are no showers for anyone in the house for another two days (none today either). So I should be good and smelly when I see the dentist. Mmmmm.

Also, while I’m whining, might I mention that my migraines are back. I had one all the way up here yesterday and all day today (which the grinding in the bathroom didn’t help with at all). I think they are sinus related, so I’m going to try some allergy medicine. I couldn’t do that yesterday since I was driving and the meds make me more tired. I was falling asleep on the road as it was. Plus, I’m getting hot a lot again. Energy shift, hot flashes, illness, who knows.  (Update 2013 – it took me 8 years to discover that the vast majority of my migraines were a function of an allergy to gluten.  I still get the occasional migraine when I grind my teeth at night and when I”m going through an energy upgrade as I am right now – I’ve had a perpetual headache for the last 5 days.)

I felt my air conditioning was barely making a dent in the car and that hasn’t happened since the desert of Arizona four years ago with the sun beating down and over 100 degree temperatures.  The AC is working, it comes out of the vents cold, but it just doesn’t seem to cool me off. I’m having the same problem now though and I’m in an air conditioned house, so I am thinking it may not be mechanical failure. Must just be me. OK – whining done now. I’m going to bed.  (Update 2013 – When I run a ton of energy, I get overheated really easily.  This has not changed.)
